Topic “Hosting, TV appearances and galas” TAO-Web team: If you had your own regular program, what format would it take (cooking show, music show, travel show, etc.)? THOMAS: Essentially the format has to fit me.  Which means I wouldn’t want to lose my tie to the music.  If there was an interesting travel show, why not?  The problem with a travel show would be the time commitment to the production. And a cooking show would have to offer something new.  There are so many cooking shows right now. TAO-Web team: Certainly you constantly receive invitations for galas and different events.  What criteria determine whether you will attend or pass?   THOMAS:  I receive about eight to ten invites per week.  Basically the event has to be spectacular.  I really won’t go to the opening of a beer bottle.  If I/we like the event, then I look to see if I can fit it in my calendar.   Topic "Fans" TAO-Web team: Your official home page has been remodeled and is finally on-line again. Generally you are mostly well informed what the fans are discussing.  How important is it for you to know what the fans are thinking about?  What makes you happy?  What makes you mad when you read the opinions of the fans in the guest book or forum? THOMAS: Without a doubt, it is always important to know what the fans are thinking and what moves them.  What bothers me is that many fans are very impatient when they don’t know how time-consuming my work is.  It drives me crazy when those who think they have an insight proceed to lecture me on how to do my job right. TAO-Web team: Do you have any great secrets to reveal to the fans right now? THOMAS: Yes, there certainly is something!  However, it’s not music-related. A clothing producer approached me about starting a line of women’s clothes. It will be available with major retailers and absolutely reasonably priced.  We are not talking about some sort of luxury collection, but quality products at affordable prices.  Since we’re into the fall and winter season now, we are talking about quilted vests, jackets, coats and knitted items.  All of them will bear the TA logo. TAO-Web team: Wow! That is a surprise and it sounds just great!  So many things will be available from you this year after all.  We are very excited!!!!
